“How can I get my product into your gift boxes?” This is a question I hear a lot from small-batch makers and local artisans, and I love it!
Sourcing unique products is one of my favorite parts of curating custom gift boxes. But when fulfilling large orders, I also need to ensure our vendor partners can deliver consistently, on time, and with the level of quality my clients expect.
First and foremost, I look for products that align with the client’s brand, event theme, or gifting goals. Since every gift box is custom-designed to tell a story, I’m intentional about choosing items that complement the overall look, feel, and purpose of the gift. Sometimes that means passing on beautiful products that just don’t quite work for the theme this time, but I’ll keep you in mind for future gift projects that might be a better fit.
I also always request samples — not just to see the packaging, but to experience the product firsthand. Whether it’s something to taste, smell, or use, I want to make sure it feels special and delivers on quality. If I weren’t genuinely excited to receive it myself, I couldn’t pass it along to my clients.
Because many projects involve large quantities and tight timelines, I need vendors who can confidently manage high volumes and communicate clear and accurate production times. Having that mutual trust and transparency makes the entire process smoother for everyone.
